Zelenskyy shuffles personnel in Staff and National Security and Defense Council
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has reshuffled the composition of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff and the National Security and Defense Council, according to the presidential decrees No. 67 and No. 68.
Zelenskyy has introduced Alexander Syrskyi as the new Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces into the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff. Additionally, by decree No. 67, the president removed Valerii Zaluzhnyi from the Staff.
Another decree by Zelenskyy appointed Syrskyi to the National Security and Defense Council. Simultaneously, Valerii Zaluzhnyi and former Minister for Veterans Affairs Yulia Laputina were removed from the NSDC.
Changes in the Ukrainian Armed Forces
Earlier this week, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed Valerii Zaluzhnyi from the position of Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces. Alexander Syrskyi was appointed to replace him; previously, Syrskyi served as the Commander of the Ground Forces.
Additionally, Zelenskyy changed the leadership of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, appointing Anatoliy Barhylevych as the new chief.
