President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has shared another video of a conversation with a North Korean soldier recently captured by the Ukrainian Armed Forces during combat, head of the state posted the video on his Telegram account.

In the video, the North Korean soldier is asked when he was captured by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. He responds that he doesn't remember. According to him, he only recalls that there was a battle in which his comrades left him behind, and he was alone for several days.

"I was wounded, and after the battle, there was a retreat. Since I was injured, I couldn’t move. I was alone for about 3-5 days. Then, the Ukrainian troops found me," he says.

The prisoner also mentions that in Russia, he was issued documents, but they had neither his name nor a photo. He also shared that in Russia, they were trained on how to capture Ukrainian prisoners.

According to Zelenskyy, efforts are currently underway to establish the facts and verify the details regarding the prisoner.

"The world will know the full truth about how Russia exploits guys like him, who grew up in a complete information vacuum, know nothing about Ukraine, and are used by Russia solely to continue and escalate this war. Only Russia needs this war. I thank all our soldiers who defend Ukrainian positions. I am also grateful to everyone around the world who helps us save lives and preserve our independence," Zelenskyy wrote.

What is known about the North Korean prisoners

Some time ago, Ukrainian fighters captured two North Korean soldiers. The soldiers were transported to Kyiv, where they are currently speaking with the Security Service investigators.

Earlier, Zelenskyy proposed to North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un that he take the prisoners, but only on the condition that he organize an exchange for Ukrainian soldiers held in Russian captivity.

According to Ukrainian intelligence, Russia is using North Korean soldiers in marine infantry and airborne units for assault operations.
