Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will travel to Italy next week for an official visit, reports IL Messagero.

Zelenskyy is set to arrive in Rome on Tuesday, December 9, following a phone call with Italian President of the Council of Ministers Giorgia Meloni.

Media reports indicate that Zelenskyy will visit London tomorrow and then head to Brussels for the EU and NATO summits.

Ukraine continues work on the US peace plan

On Saturday, December 6, President Zelenskyy held a phone call with US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner to discuss ways to end the war.

According to Axios, Zelenskyy held a two-hour conversation today with Witkoff and Kushner, focusing on territorial issues and security guarantees. A source with knowledge of the call said discussions on territorial issues were complex.

The media also reported that on December 8, Zelenskyy will visit London to meet British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron, and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz to discuss ongoing negotiations regarding the peace plan.

Bloomberg reports that European leaders are trying to convince Zelenskyy not to agree to a possible deal on the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from Donbas without reliable security guarantees from the US.
