Zelenskyy seeks broader US cooperation

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expects cooperation with the US beyond just the economic sphere. Currently, Ukrainians are trying to survive, stated the Ukrainian leader during a briefing.
Zelenskyy commented on the fact that the new agreement with the US on rare earth minerals does not include security guarantees for Ukraine.
According to the President, if Ukraine does not sign such an agreement with the US, "nothing will work." Therefore, he agreed to "certain basic things" because the US is a strategic partner.
"But I just want to understand what will happen to us, to our families tomorrow. And to understand where you (the US - ed.) stand. That’s why we don't need just financial agreements. Because right now, we are trying to survive. That’s why my first question is whether America will stop military aid or not?" he added.
He emphasized that there is no question of freezing the war and ending it “tomorrow” because Russia is under the leadership of Vladimir Putin.
Agreement on rare earths
Yesterday, February 25, Western media reported that Ukraine and the United States had agreed on an agreement on rare earth metals.
It is not yet known when the two countries will sign the document. According to unconfirmed reports, it may happen this Friday in Washington.
According to the document, it is planned to create an investment fund to which Ukraine will contribute half of the profits from the sale of mineral resources. The United States will have economic and management rights in the fund.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that such an agreement does not imply any debts for Ukraine.
