Zelenskyy says Trump plans to support Ukraine if he wins election
US presidential candidate Donald Trump has a rather controversial stance regarding the war in Ukraine. However, if he wins the election, he plans to support Ukraine, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during his interview with Fox News.
"I don't know what will be after elections and who will be the president ... But I've got from Donald Trump very direct information that he will be on our side, that he will support Ukraine," Zelenskyy stated.
During the interview, Zelenskyy recounted that during their meeting in New York, Trump was genuinely interested in hearing the details of Ukraine's victory plan directly from the Ukrainian leader.
Moreover, the Republican presidential candidate asked Zelenskyy many questions, including those regarding the situation at the front, the necessary Western assistance, and the reasons behind the war.
It is worth noting that this week, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the US. During his trip, he met with US President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and former President Donald Trump to present them with Ukraine's victory plan.
