Today's attack by Russia on Ukraine is one of the most massive. The enemy is attempting to exploit problems with the operation of the Starlink "military package," according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Telegram.
The head of state reported that during his visit to London, he provided UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham with detailed information about Russian attacks on peaceful cities in Ukraine. According to him, waves of drone attacks have continued throughout the day.
The president noted that Russia launched 124 drones overnight and another 145 during the day. As of now, there are still over 40 Shahed drones in Ukrainian airspace. The enemy is targeting energy infrastructure, logistics, and railways.
"In terms of scale, this is one of the largest attacks. It is clear that the Russians are trying to take advantage of the problems with Starlink in Ukraine, as our interceptor drones depend on this connection among other things," Zelenskyy said.
Separately, he thanked Britain for its decision to accelerate the supply of air defense systems to Ukraine to counter jet-powered Shahed drones.
Night strike by Russian forces
Russian forces launched a massive strike on Ukraine overnight.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, during the night attack, in addition to drones, Russian troops also launched 39 ballistic missiles.
The enemy, in particular, attacked energy facilities in Kyiv. Prime Minister Serhii Koretskyi noted that all three thermal power plants in the capital were under attack.
The attack did not stop during the day either. All this is happening against the backdrop of news that the Starlink "military package" is operating in a limited mode - at speeds of up to 160 km/h.
