Zelenskyy says Putin's inner circle recognizes reality

Ukraine's successes on the battlefield and in strikes against Russia are creating a toxic atmosphere around Vladimir Putin. Even his inner circle acknowledges this, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's evening video address on Facebook.
Putin alone is responsible for Russian losses
Zelenskyy said a new and deeply uncomfortable atmosphere is now forming around the Kremlin leader.
"Right now, the situation on the battlefield, along with our long-range and mid-range strikes, is creating a new atmosphere around Putin — a very toxic atmosphere," the president said.
Zelenskyy stressed that Putin alone is responsible for both starting the war and preventing it from ending.
"Putin alone is responsible for the losses Russia is suffering," Zelenskyy said.
Putin's inner circle understands it
The Ukrainian president said people close to Putin are well aware of the situation.
"They are sending signals to our partners and to us. Russian society is increasingly beginning to feel it as well," Zelenskyy said.
He called for decisions that would bring peace to the war.
"Ukraine has long been ready for this. We are now doing everything to ensure this war ends with dignity," Zelenskyy concluded.
Earlier on July 22, Zelenskyy said he discussed the resumption of negotiations with Russia with Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.
Zelenskyy also announced changes to Ukraine's defense policy following the dismissal of Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi. The changes will affect both drone capabilities and mobilization.
According to Zelenskyy, Ukraine's long-range strikes and the resulting deterioration of Russia's economic situation are having a tangible impact on Moscow's willingness to continue the war.
