Russian President Vladimir Putin fears US President-elect Donald Trump. He may also fear China, reports Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The Ukrainian president said he shared these words with Trump during a trilateral meeting in Paris organized by French President Emmanuel Macron.

"I told President Trump that Putin fears only him and, perhaps, China. And that’s the truth — only decisiveness can bring this war to a just end and ensure lasting peace," Zelenskyy’s post reads.

The president emphasized that America is capable of achieving extraordinary results, something others have failed to do. To succeed in ending Russia's war against Ukraine, unity is essential. Specifically, unity between the US, Europe, and all those around the world who value security, strong positions, and peace guarantees.

"The most important thing is to work together on how to end this war — that is our top priority. During the meeting in Paris, this was exactly what we focused on, and it was a very productive conversation. I reiterate my gratitude to President Macron for organizing it, as well as my deep gratitude to President Trump for his strong resolve to bring this war to a fair end. This is the right approach, and it is important that all details are thoroughly worked out to ensure that peace is truly durable," the Ukrainian president wrote.

Zelenskyy added that this is the right approach and stressed the importance of carefully addressing all the details to ensure truly lasting peace.

On Saturday, December 7, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with US President-elect Donald Trump in Paris, where French leader Emmanuel Macron met them. The Ukrainian and American leaders were in Paris to attend the opening of the restored Notre Dame Cathedral.
