President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy told TSN Week TV host Alla Mazur that there was a problem with the production of Flamingo missiles, but the state order will still be fulfilled.

"There was a technological issue in the production of the Flamingo. There is also a delay in funding from our partners, which is being resolved," Zelenskyy said.

He added that the state order will be fully completed by the end of the year. Zelenskyy assured that Ukraine has found its own resources to cover the costs. The country will have a certain number of missiles, though the exact amount is not being disclosed.

"Moreover, everyone is satisfied that the missiles that have already been launched worked," the TV host quoted the President as saying.

Flamingo missiles

At the end of August, the media reported that Ukraine had started serial production of Flamingo missiles.

Shortly after, Ukraine's Minister of Defense Denys Shmyhal confirmed their production and added that the Ukrainian Flamingo cruise missile is very powerful and long-range.

By October, The Economist reported that Ukraine had begun using Flamingo missiles for strikes against Russia.

On October 9, Welt reported that Ukraine used three domestically produced Flamingo missiles to strike an FSB intelligence base in Russian-occupied Crimea.
