The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue preparations for the de-occupation of the Crimean Peninsula, pursuing three key objectives, according to Mykhailo Podolyak, an advisor to the President's Office.

The key objectives involve launching attacks on the occupied military facilities in Crimea.

According to him, the objectives are:

  • The need to open the airspace over the peninsula to actively target and destroy Russian military and logistical infrastructure, including anti-aircraft missile systems and air defense systems like the Triumph.

  • The need to disrupt the continuous supply of resources and reserves to the active combat zone. To achieve this, they are targeting the transportation logistics of terrorists and illegal structures like the Crimean Bridge.

  • The need to expel the remnants of the Black Sea Fleet terrorists from the territorial waters of Crimea and restore the status of the Black Sea as an international jurisdiction sea. To accomplish this, infrastructure is being repaired, and Russian military ships are being destroyed.

Explosions in Crimea

Explosions in the temporarily occupied Crimean Peninsula are becoming a common occurrence. For instance, during strikes on Sevastopol on September 13, Ukrainian forces inflicted damage on a large Russian landing ship and the submarine Rostov-on-Don.

More on the overnight events in Sevastopol and damage to ships can be found in RBC-Ukraine's material.

Furthermore, last night, the military counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Navy conducted a unique special operation. Using drones and missiles, they destroyed the $1.2 billion Russian air defense system Triumph near Yevpatoria.
