At present, it cannot be confirmed whether President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will attend the G7 summit in person, citing the president's spokesperson, Serhii Nykyforov.

"Since the beginning of the war, we never announce or confirm the president's participation in international events. This is done for two reasons. The first is a matter of security. And the second reason is that we understand how quickly the situation in Ukraine can change, and sometimes visits have to be canceled at the last moment," he said.

According to him, he cannot confirm or deny whether Zelenskyy will physically attend the G7 summit.

"Therefore, in this case, I, unfortunately, cannot confirm or deny that the president will physically attend the G7 summit. But in any case, whether online or physically, he will participate. This is for sure," Nykyforov said.

He added that the G7 countries are Ukraine's main partners.

"And of course, we will be discussing key topics in our relations with Brussels, as well as in bilateral formats with these partners. In particular, with the USA, our main defense partner, we will be talking about further increasing defense support, developing the fighter jet coalition, and steps needed to expedite the delivery of F-16s to Ukraine," Nykyforov said.

He added that air defense issues, which are the most pressing for Ukraine both on the front lines and in peaceful cities, will also be discussed.

"And we expect key decisions from our main key partners in the G7," he emphasized.
