Zelenskyy's office confirms Ukraine offered Russia ceasefire

Ukraine proposed a complete ceasefire to Russia, which was to cover the front lines and airspace. However, Moscow has not responded to this proposal, according to Kyrylo Budanov, head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.
Budanov confirms that Kyiv did indeed propose a ceasefire. This refers not only to halting Russian strikes on Ukraine but also to the situation directly on the front lines.
According to him, the proposal was personally conveyed to Putin. However, Moscow has not responded to it.
"But the drones are flying—you've all seen it," says the head of the Presidential Office.
Witkoff and Kushner expected to visit Ukraine
Separately, Budanov announces an upcoming visit to Ukraine by US President's special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.
According to him, their arrival is scheduled for this Sunday.
Budanov also suggests that Russia might refrain from striking Kyiv during the American representatives' visit. At the same time, he does not claim to have received any guarantees from Russia regarding this.
On the night of September 5, Russia attacked Ukraine with strike drones, specifically targeting the Kyiv and Boryspil airports.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that this could have been related to preparations for the possible arrival of US representatives in Ukraine by plane.
