Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in an interview with journalist Fareed Zakaria that Russia is providing assistance to the Iranian regime to carry out attacks on US bases and countries in the Middle East.

During the conversation, the president was asked whether he had any information that Russians had passed intelligence to Iran about the locations of US troops and facilities so that Tehran could attack them.

In response, Zelenskyy said that first of all, Russia had already transferred Shahed drones that Iran used to strike US facilities.

"They are using Iranian licenses under which they built and produced a large number of drones. They passed them on. I have 100% facts that the Iranian regime used them against American bases and against our Middle Eastern neighbors of Iran," the head of state said.

He added that Ukraine had shared intelligence and Kyiv had seen that some components in Iranian drones were Russian.

In addition, Russia is helping Iran with intelligence, justifying it by saying that since Europe and the United States help Ukraine with intelligence, Moscow can do the same for Tehran.

"My intelligence later told me that they believe that (the Russians - ed.) are sharing information, intelligence with the Iranian regime... My intelligence also told me that they say: "If Europe and the United States can help Ukraine with intelligence in this war, it means Russia can help the Iranian regime. That is their point of view on this." So this is a fact, and you see that it is not a big secret," Zelenskyy concluded.

Russia's assistance to Iran

It should be noted that several days ago US President Donald Trump publicly acknowledged that Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin may be helping Iran "a little." At the same time, he justified the Russian dictator by his war in Ukraine.

"I think Putin might be helping Iran a little. Because he probably thinks that we are helping Ukraine, right?" Trump said.

Meanwhile, Russia’s ambassador to the United Kingdom Andrey Kelin recently admitted that Russia is not a "neutral party" and supports Iran in the conflict with Israel. He also said that Moscow considers the actions of Western countries in this situation unfair.
