Yesterday and over the past week, Ukraine experienced massive attacks by Russia. In total, the occupiers used more than 1,000 drones and aerial bombs - President Volodymyr Zelenskyy shared this information on Telegram.
According to Zelenskyy, just last night the enemy launched over 170 drones across Ukrainian territory, half of which were Shahed drones. Over the week, the aggressor deployed about 1,000 strike drones, nearly 980 guided aerial bombs, and 36 missiles of various types.
Restoration work continues in Kharkiv, Odesa, and Dnipropetrovsk regions. Emergency responders also operated in Sumy and Chernihiv regions, where infrastructure was damaged.
"Each night requires a multi-component defense of the sky — air defense systems, combat aviation, mobile fire groups, interceptor drones. We actively work on each component with our partners to provide Ukraine with greater protection," Zelenskyy said.
The president added that new agreements with Europe have already been prepared, which will significantly strengthen Ukraine’s air defense and increase the resilience and effectiveness of defense diplomacy.
The program for restoring and protecting critical infrastructure continues across Ukraine, and efforts to strengthen air defense and modernize defense systems are ongoing daily.
Attack on the night of November 14
On the night of November 14, Russia once again carried out a massive attack on Ukraine, launching 19 missiles and 430 strike drones. Aerobalistic Kinzhal missiles and ballistic Iskander-M/KN-23 missiles were used in the strikes.
Kyiv was hit the hardest. Numerous residential buildings were struck in the capital. In the Dnipro district, a drone hit a five-story building, causing a large fire and trapping people in their apartments, prompting emergency evacuations.
Serious damage was also reported to apartment buildings in the Podil, Sviatoshynskyi, Desnianskyi, Solomianskyi, and Obolon districts. In addition, a school in the Darnytskyi district and a hospital in Holosiivskyi were affected.
The Russian Ministry of Defense again claimed that it had targeted military-industrial and energy facilities.
Rescue operations in the Desnianskyi district have already been completed: the State Emergency Service evacuated 17 people, including one child, and service psychologists provided assistance to 252 victims and their families.
