Zelenskyy reveals plans for upcoming Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting: What will be discussed

Ukraine plans to discuss strengthening air defense to protect against Russian attacks at the new Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting on October 15, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Telegram.
According to him, during the meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal provided a detailed report on preparations for the new Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting.
"Our priorities are air defense, and there is not just a list of required systems and missiles, but also a clear understanding of which country can supply them quickly and under what conditions," the president said.
He specified that work with partners is ongoing within the PURL and SAFE programs. According to him, PURL has already proven effective, while SAFE still needs to be filled with relevant content.
In particular, Zelenskyy expects that European countries will contribute elements to SAFE that will deter Russia "right now."
