Trump’s demand

Trump also claimed that Ukraine "is no longer a democracy," as elections have not been held there for a long time.
European Commission spokesperson Anitta Hipper, commenting on this statement, emphasized that Russia continues its war against Ukraine, and elections are only possible when "conditions allow."
Earlier, media outlets published an initial version of the US peace plan for Ukraine and Russia, which included 28 points. One of the points stipulated that Ukraine should hold elections 100 days after the end of the war.
Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin continues to refuse to sign a peace agreement with Ukraine, citing the "illegitimacy" of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
