Zelenskyy responded to Trump's demands on Crimea: New proposals are on his table

There can be nothing in a peace agreement that contradicts the Constitution of Ukraine. New proposals following the April 23 meeting in London are now on the desk of US President Donald Trump, Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy says during a press conference.
"What compromises regarding territories, etc.? It's very important to understand - the United States proposed its vision, there was a meeting in London, and a corresponding strategy was presented there. Our team, the European representatives, and the US delegation had a constructive conversation, and corresponding points appeared on paper," Zelenskyy noted.
According to the Ukrainian President, after the US plan (referring to the proposal to recognize Crimea and part of the occupied territories of Ukraine as Russian), other proposals emerged and were already delivered to Trump.
"...I believe that today this format, this document is on Trump's desk. Anything that contradicts our values or our Constitution cannot be part of any agreement," Zelenskyy declared.
US demands regarding Crimea
On April 19, Bloomberg reported that the United States was considering recognizing Crimea as Russian as part of a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine.
A few days later, Western media wrote that, according to Donald Trump's so-called peace plan, Ukraine would have to recognize Crimea and other occupied territories as part of Russia, renounce NATO, and fulfill other conditions.
On April 22, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, speaking with journalists, clearly stated that Ukraine would not recognize any of its territories as Russian.
After the meeting of representatives from Ukraine, Europe, and the US in London on April 23 - at which Secretary of State Marco Rubio was not present - Trump slammed Zelenskyy's remarks on Crimea.
In response, Zelenskyy reminded everyone of the Crimea Declaration adopted by the United States during Trump's first presidency.
