Zelenskyy reacts to Russian strike on Ukraine on St. Nicholas Day
The Russian Federation shelled Kryvyi Rih and Zaporizhzhia on St. Nicholas Day, proving that Russia's words about peace mean nothing, according to the Telegram channel of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
As Zelenskyy noted, the bombs and missiles launched by Russia speak volumes about its actions.
"On St. Nicholas Day, air bombs hit Zaporizhzhia — directly targeting an auto repair shop and vehicles with people inside. As of now, four injured individuals are receiving medical assistance. The death toll includes nine people. A missile strike on Kryvyi Rih targeted an ordinary city building. Seventeen people were injured, and two were killed. And these are just two Russian strikes on two Ukrainian cities in one day," the president stated.
Zelenskyy reminded that since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion, thousands of such strikes have been carried out. These attacks make it absolutely clear that Russian President Vladimir Putin is not interested in real peace.
"He only seeks the ability to do this to any country — using bombs, missiles, and all other forms of violence. Only strength can counter this. And only through strength can real peace be achieved," Zelenskyy said.
