Zelenskyy proposes establishing food hub in Lebanon

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held talks with Lebanon’s newly elected President Joseph Aoun. The parties discussed the creation of a food hub in Lebanon, according to Zelenskyy's Telegram channel.
Zelenskyy said he congratulated Aoun on his election and wished security for Lebanon and the entire Middle East.
According to the President, he also thanked Lebanon for supporting Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
"Despite Russian aggression, Ukraine remains a reliable guarantor of global food security. I proposed establishing a food hub in Lebanon to support the country’s population," Zelenskyy said.
The leaders also discussed strengthening bilateral cooperation, particularly in the trade and economic spheres.
Grain supplies to Syria
Ukraine began sending food shipments to Syria following the collapse of Bashar al-Assad's regime.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian President discussed the possibility of financial support for these deliveries from Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
