Zelenskyy points out the only person Putin is afraid of

Russian leader Vladimir Putin fears only one person in the world: US President Donald Trump, stated Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, according to Le Monde.

"Putin does not fear Europeans. He only fears Trump, that’s a fact. What Trump might say to Putin is not my business," Zelenskyy said.
He reminded that the US President wants to end the war in Ukraine through compromise. However, Ukraine, despite supporting US proposals, will not compromise on its sovereignty.
Zelenskyy also referred to his speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos, emphasizing that democracy alone cannot defeat Putin because the Russian leader does not respect the rules.
"Democracy cannot defeat Vladimir Putin, who does not respect the rules of war," he concluded.
Meanwhile, US officials said that progress in negotiations between Ukraine and Russia is significant, but the most difficult issues remain unresolved. This could delay a final peace agreement indefinitely.
On February 4, the second round of talks with Ukraine, Russia, and the US took place in Abu Dhabi. The negotiations lasted several hours, with continuation expected on February 5.
