President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with the military command to plan Ukraine's response to Russian attacks, he announced this during his evening address.

According to him, today’s meeting included Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi, Chief of the General Staff Andrii Hnatov, and Defense Minister Rustem Umerov.

"The focus was on planning our actions, our readiness to respond to Russian strikes and threats, as well as acting preemptively. This means increasing the production of our drones and missiles. I’m grateful to everyone working toward this goal. Already, hundreds of Ukrainian companies are delivering results for the Defense Forces of Ukraine, and there will be more — I’m confident of that," Zelenskyy said.

He noted that entrepreneurial efforts are currently being maximally engaged in weapons production. In particular, Ukraine is preparing new agreements with partners in Europe to attract investment specifically into Ukrainian manufacturing.

This primarily concerns the production of drones and long-range capabilities — the tools that allow Ukraine to control the situation on the front lines, save the lives of its soldiers, and operate at a significant distance.

"Of course, we cannot publicly disclose our existing plans or capabilities, but the vision is clear — to respond symmetrically to all Russian threats and challenges. In Russia, they must clearly feel the consequences of what they are doing against Ukraine. And they will. Strike drones, interceptors, cruise missiles, Ukrainian ballistic systems — these are the key elements," the President said.

Weapons production in Ukraine

Earlier, Zelenskyy noted that since the beginning of the full-scale war, domestic weapons production in Ukraine has increased significantly. While previously the share of domestically produced arms was less than 10%, it has now reached 34% of the total volume.

Ukrainian naval drones such as the Sea Baby and MAGURA V5 are operating effectively in the Black Sea, inflicting serious losses on the Russian fleet. The Neptune missile system, which was used to destroy the Moskva cruiser, has received an upgraded long-range version that has already been tested in combat.

Among other weapons used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces are the Bohdana self-propelled artillery system, the Stuhna and Korsar anti-tank missile systems, as well as strike drones such as Bober, Morok, and Liutyi, which enable attacks deep inside Russian territory.

Zelenskyy also published photos showcasing domestically produced weaponry, including munitions and drones.
