Zelenskyy: Only meeting with Putin is on table, no other talks with Russia considered

Ukraine has so far only considered a meeting between President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian leader Vladimir Putin. No other formats of contact with Russia were discussed, stated Zelenskyy during a press conference.
The President said he had responded to the proposals for negotiations that were voiced by both Russia and the United States.
"I’m ready to meet with him (Putin - ed.). So far, we haven’t worked out or discussed any other formats," Zelenskyy stated.
He clarified that he would not be alone at the possible talks. Ukraine, he added, is only considering what has already been proposed in terms of negotiations.
Zelenskyy-Putin meeting
As of now, Russian leader Vladimir Putin has not agreed to a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Istanbul on May 15.
Talks between Ukraine and Russia are still being planned, but the level at which they will take place remains unclear.
Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the head of the Ukrainian Presidential Office, emphasized that Zelenskyy was ready to hold talks in Istanbul only with Putin. He will not engage in dialogue with other Russian representatives.
