Zelenskyy on way to Germany before talks with Trump

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy will arrive in Germany on Wednesday, August 13. He will take part in a video conference with US President Donald Trump there, according to Bild and presidential spokesman Serhii Nykyforov's comments to reporters.
According to the media, Zelenskyy will arrive in Berlin today. He will take part in a video conference with Trump and European leaders.
The President of Ukraine will hold an online meeting with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.
"The President is working in Berlin today. There will be a bilateral meeting with Federal Chancellor Merz, and then they will take part in a video conference with European leaders, NATO Secretary General Rutte, and US President Trump," Nykyforov said.
Following the meeting, Zelenskyy and Merz may make statements to the media at approximately 4 pm Berlin time (3 pm Kyiv time). There will also be an online meeting of the Coalition of the Willing today.
Talks between Zelenskyy, Trump, and European leaders
US President Donald Trump will meet with Russian leader Vladimir Putin in Alaska on August 15.
Before the summit, Trump will hold online talks with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and European leaders. According to Reuters, three online meetings are planned.
First, a video conference will be held between Trump, Zelenskyy, and European leaders. It will be attended by the leaders of Germany, Finland, France, Britain, Italy, Poland, and the EU, as well as the NATO Secretary General.
Later, an online meeting between Trump and European leaders is expected, followed by talks between the Coalition of the Willing and Zelenskyy.
EU leaders adopted earlier a joint statement in support of Ukraine, emphasizing that peace cannot be defined without Ukraine. The statement was supported by almost all EU leaders, except for Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán.
