Ukraine is ready to work with the new US presidential administration to achieve peace. This is an opportunity that must be seized, according to an address by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The head of the Ukrainian state emphasized that Trump is a strong individual. He wished success to the new American president and all of America.

"Ukrainians are ready to work together with Americans to achieve peace, real peace," Zelenskyy stated.

Inauguration of Trump

Today, on January 20, Donald Trump officially became the President of the United States.

Immediately after taking the oath, he delivered his first speech. In particular, the new American leader promised to declare a state of emergency on the border with Mexico, deport "criminals" from the US, and declare a state of emergency in the energy sector.

It is notable that in his speech, he did not mention any plans to end the war between Ukraine and Russia, despite having claimed during his campaign that he would find a solution in 24 hours.
