Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he understands why the dispute with US President Donald Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance occurred. However, he does not want to discuss it, as he is confident that this situation will pass, stated Zelenskyy while speaking to Ukrainian and British media following the London summit.

"I don’t want to discuss what happened. I don’t think such a format is the right way to build strong relations. I am confident that this situation will pass, more important things lie ahead, and if we all remain constructive, I believe we will see a positive outcome," Zelenskyy said.

The President noted that he understands the nature of the incident but did not provide further details.

Zelenskyy added that he wants his allies, including the United States, to engage in a constructive dialogue and to remember who the aggressor is.

Zelenskyy and Trump's clash

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the White House in Washington on February 28. He met with US President Donald Trump.

However, during a conversation between Zelenskyy, Trump, and US Vice President J.D. Vance, a dispute broke out over the war.

Subsequently, Zelenskyy left the White House early, and the minerals deal was not signed. Trump accused the Ukrainian President of not being ready for peace.

After that, Western media reported that Trump was allegedly considering suspending aid to Ukraine.
