Zelenskyy on trip to Middle East: 'I was ready, that's a fact'
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had planned a trip to the Middle East immediately after the Hamas attack on Israel, according to the broadcast of a major press conference by the president.
"As for my trip to the Middle East, I was ready from the very beginning, and that's a fact," emphasized President Zelenskyy.
Zelenskyy noted that this was his direct signal to colleagues abroad.
"Perhaps they had other priorities. I can't play too much with my schedule and priorities because I am leading the state in a war," explained the head of state.
Situation in Israel
Recall that on October 7, Hamas militants invaded Israel, killing and kidnapping both military and civilians. In response, Israel announced the start of Operation Iron Swords and shelled terrorist locations.
By October 11, the Israeli online publication Ynet reported that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was considering the possibility of visiting Israel.
However, later reports from the media indicated that Zelenskyy had postponed his visit to Israel.
