Zelenskyy on negotiations with Russia: They must stop killing

The Russian Federation must stop the violence in order to sit at the negotiating table. Only after that will negotiations between the countries be possible, states the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, during a briefing.
Zelenskyy stated that he is not afraid of any format of negotiations with Russia. According to him, negotiations can take place with or without intermediaries, with the participation of the USA or Europe. What is important is that any negotiations should be substantive and not turn into pointless communication with aggressors.
"It is preferable that any negotiations are substantive. How can we talk directly to ballistic missiles? Right now, it's just talking to missiles and terrorists. What’s the point of simply talking? First and foremost – unconditional ceasefire," emphasized the President of Ukraine.
He thanked the USA for the initiative to end the fire in Ukraine. He also noted that the country could set red lines before a ceasefire, but this is not an essential step at the moment.
"We believe that the ceasefire should be unconditional, and after that, we can talk in any format. But for that, the Russians must not be killers, but be ready for diplomacy. So far, they are simply demons," remarked the president.
Zelenskyy expressed doubts about the sincerity of Russia's actions, noting that their statements are not backed by real actions.
"They go to America, make speeches, appear on channels, talk about how they want peace, show some mineral agreements, saying they are ready. What are they ready for? Those who are ready, take concrete steps," he concluded.
Strike on Kryvyi Rih

According to the latest information, 16 people were killed in the enemy attack, including five children. More than 50 people were injured.
