Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, during his announced visit to the United States, may address a meeting of senators, according to CNN.
Sources from the publication indicate that the Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Republican Party leader Mitch McConnell have invited the head of state to speak at a meeting of all senators. It is reported that the meeting will take place on the morning of Tuesday, December 12.
As part of his visit to Washington, the President of Ukraine will also meet with the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mike Johnson.
The White House emphasized that Zelenskyy's visit to the U.S. and his meeting with President Joe Biden is intended to underscore the United States' unwavering commitment to supporting the people of Ukraine in their defense against Russia's brutal invasion.
"As Russia ramps up its missile and drone strikes against Ukraine, the leaders will discuss Ukraine’s urgent needs and the vital importance of the United States’ continued support at this critical moment," said White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.

Earlier, it became known that after his visit to Argentina, Volodymyr Zelenskyy will travel to the United States on Monday, December 11, where he will meet with President Joe Biden.
It is emphasized that the focus of the Ukrainian President will be on ensuring unity among the U.S., Europe, and the world in supporting the country at war in defense against Russian aggression and strengthening the international order based on rules and respect for the sovereignty of each nation.
