'Zelenskyy is a strong guy': Trump comments on Ukraine's desire to end war

President of the United States Donald Trump believes that Ukraine is ready for a ceasefire. However, at the moment, Trump cannot assess whether Kyiv's efforts are sufficient to achieve that goal, according to his statement during a briefing at the White House.
"I said: the Ukrainians are ready for a ceasefire. They are ready for peace negotiations," Trump stated.
A journalist asked Trump whether Ukraine is doing enough to achieve this, and the US President said he needs time to draw conclusions.
"I'd rather tell you in about two weeks from now because I can't say 'yes' or 'no.' I think he's a strong person, Zelenskyy is a strong guy, and he's not the easiest person to deal with. But I think that he wants to stop this (Russia's war against Ukraine - ed.) It's a very bad thing that's happening over there, and I think he wants to stop it. But I could answer that question better in two weeks or four weeks from now, I hope the answer is that he wants to get it solved," said Trump.
