President Volodymyr Zelenskyy instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to provide a report on the programs that will remain without USAID support, he shared this during his evening address.

According to the president, Deputy Prime Minister for Ukraine's Reconstruction Oleksii Kuleba and other government officials are determining which programs are currently in deficit. He noted that almost all of these programs were implemented not through the Ukrainian government but directly through communities and various organizations.

"There are many projects. We will identify which ones are critical and require decisions right now. Part of this funding can be provided through our state finances, and part will be discussed with Europeans and Americans. This concerns many areas, from communication and digitization to support for veterans, schools, hospitals, and reconstruction," Zelenskyy said.

The president clarified that the details of such programs were not a matter for the state, but officials would present everything to him, particularly those related to children, veterans, and infrastructure protection programs.

United States has suspended USAID funding

The United States is the largest donor of financial aid in the world. However, US President Donald Trump signed an executive order effectively freezing aid programs to other countries for 90 days. The programs will be reviewed to determine if they align with the political goals of the Trump administration.

However, on January 24, the US Department of State issued an order to "cease operations" for all existing foreign aid and suspended the issuance of new aid.

The US Agency for International Development (USAID) branch in Ukraine also suspended project operations and their funding.
