Putin's only advantage in the war against Ukraine is a stockpile of Soviet weapons, money, and a disregard for human life, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

According to the President, Russia is weaker in many aspects. "Their intelligence is weaker. Their diplomacy has turned into mere bribes, lies, or threats. Economically, they are not strong,” he says.

“The only competitive advantage that Putin still has is a large stockpile of Soviet-era weapons, money, and a complete disregard for human life. This is a rather dangerous mixture,” the Ukrainian President says.

Zelenskyy calls for depriving Putin of money and the ability to produce more weapons.

“And for his disregard of human life he must pay – with his losses and his defeat,” the President adds.

Earlier, The Economist reported that Russia is running out of Soviet weapons. The agency estimated that in the first two years of the war, Russia lost about 3,000 tanks and 5,000 other armored vehicles. The Economist predicts that next year the Russians are likely to go on the defensive.

In 2024, Russia will launch an offensive on several fronts. According to British intelligence, Russia has lost more than 70,000 personnel killed and wounded in the last two months - May and June. However, despite the losses, Russia is recruiting 25,000 to 30,000 new soldiers every month - about the same number as it is losing.
