Zelenskyy holds talks with Greek Prime Minister about pressure on Russia, summit, and more

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held talks with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis. A number of issues were discussed, including increasing pressure on Russia, the Telegram channel of Ukraine's President reports.
During the conversation:
- Zelenskyy informed Mitsotakis about his recent contacts with European partners and US President Donald Trump. He emphasized the importance of increasing pressure on Russia, including the imposition of additional sanctions;
- the President of Ukraine thanked Kyriakos and the entire European Union for the 17th package of sanctions against the terrorist state.
"Moscow must be deprived of everything that enables it to finance killing. Greece shares our position and will contribute to increasing the pressure," the President wrote.
The two sides also discussed support for Ukraine, its army, defense production, and air defense systems.
"I invited Prime Minister Mitsotakis to take part in the Ukraine - Southeast Europe Summit. He confirmed his participation. Thank you," Zelenskyy noted.
Greece's support for Ukraine
Greece has demonstrated solidarity with Ukraine since the start of the full-scale war, condemning the aggression and expressing support for Ukraine's territorial integrity. Athens joined international efforts to assist Ukraine and advocated for the preservation of peace and stability in Europe.
As The New York Times earlier reported, Ukraine may receive a Patriot air defense system from Israel this summer. Germany or Greece could also provide another system.
