Zelenskyy holds meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief on weapons
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held another Supreme Commander-in-Chief's meeting, focusing on defense procurement.
The President stated that the meeting included reports on contracts — both those already being executed and those planned.
"This is a joint task for weapon manufacturers, our government officials, and everyone involved — to make this year a record one for drones of all types, and significantly increase the production of Ukrainian missiles, artillery, and all necessary equipment," the president emphasized.
Zelenskyy ordered an increase in drone orders. According to him, this task is already being implemented. He also stressed that Ukrainian arsenals are one of the guarantees of independence, just like the precision of soldiers.
"I thank all the units that strike Russian territory: military targets, military logistics of the occupiers. There should be more such important results," the head of state added.
Weapon production in Ukraine
It is worth noting that during the ongoing full-scale war, Ukraine has significantly increased the production of domestic weapons. This includes drones, robotic systems, and strike capabilities, among others.
In addition, Ukrainian companies are developing new weapons. For example, Ukraine has developed marine drones that target the Russian fleet.
Ukraine is also ramping up missile production. It is known that a new Ukrainian drone missile, Palianytsia, has been developed, alongside the development of its own ballistic missiles. More details about Ukraine's new secret weapons can be found in the article by RBC-Ukraine.
The government has emphasized that this year, Ukraine plans to produce 3,000 missiles and 30,000 long-range drones.
