Zelenskyy holds first call with Poland’s president-elect

Ukraine and Poland are preparing to strengthen bilateral cooperation. Kyiv counts on Warsaw's continued support in the areas of security, politics, and humanitarian aid, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"Today, we had a good first conversation with the President-elect of Poland, Karol Nawrocki. I congratulated him on his election victory on June 1 and wished him success. We count on Poland to remain our reliable partner and ally," he says.
Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine appreciates all the support provided by Poland since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine: military, political, and humanitarian.
"Last night, Russia launched yet another massive attack on Ukraine. I informed about the consequences of this strike and the situation on the front line. It is crucial for us that Poland continues to support Ukraine, because we are defending not only ourselves, but all of Europe, including Poland," the president emphasizes.
He notes that during the conversation, he and Nawrocki discussed key events that will take place in the coming months.
"We agreed to exchange visits during which we will discuss all current issues of bilateral cooperation. We will definitely define formats of engagement that will bring real results for both our countries and our people," the Ukrainian president concludes.
