There is currently an intensification of numerous peace processes in the context of Russia's war against Ukraine. They must be aimed at achieving a dignified peace, said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at a joint press conference with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
"Many processes have been activated, and we are trying to ensure that all activity is directed toward a dignified peace and guaranteed security. The war must end - there is no alternative to peace," Zelenskyy emphasized.
He added that Russia must understand it will receive no rewards for the war.
The President also highlighted Ukraine's reliance on the strength of Turkish diplomacy, particularly the active participation of Türkiye in the Coalition of the Willing, especially in the naval component.
"Everyone understands the importance of security in the Black Sea, and such security can only be ensured together with Türkiye," Zelenskyy noted.
Rumors of a new peace plan
Earlier, Axios reported, citing sources, that Washington and Moscow are discussing a new peace plan to end Russia’s war against Ukraine.
According to the sources, the plan consists of 28 points and was reportedly inspired by the Trump administration's successful efforts to broker a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.
Later, Reuters reported, also citing sources, that Ukraine had received signals about US peace proposals, but Kyiv did not participate in preparing such initiatives.
It is expected that this week, a draft of the peace agreement could be presented in Kyiv by a US military delegation led by Secretary of the Army Dan Driscoll.
