Zelenskyy: Drone interceptors down hundreds of Shaheds in one week

Ukrainian soldiers continue to use drone interceptors to destroy Shaheds. Hundreds of enemy targets were shot down in just one week, according tp Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Facebook.
The head of state said that over the week, the occupiers launched against Ukraine:
- more than 1,800 drones;
- more than 1,200 aerial bombs;
- 83 missiles.
"Russians are intensifying terror against cities and communities to increasingly intimidate our people," the president said.
According to him, despite Moscow’s plan, there have been good results from the air defense forces.
"Interceptor drones are performing especially well — hundreds of Russian-Iranian Shaheds have been shot down this week alone. Every meeting with partners this week was about scaling up this technology," Zelenskyy added.
He emphasized that Russians use Shaheds as a tool to prolong the war. This threat must be neutralized to enable diplomacy to work.
"We hope all agreements will be fulfilled to strengthen our defense. We count on strong decisions from the US, Europe, the G7, and all partners," the president said.
Shahed attacks
Recall that Russians regularly launch their Shahed kamikaze drones at Ukraine.
Recently, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the occupiers plan to launch 1,000 kamikaze drones per day. Interceptor drones are planned to be used to destroy them.
