Zelenskyy discusses frontline situation and Russian losses during meeting of Staff
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held another meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief today, October 14. The operational situation along the entire front line was discussed during the meeting.
According to Zelenskyy, Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi reported on the operational situation along the entire front. Special attention was given to the directions for Pokrovsk and Kurakhiv.
"For the fifth day, the Russians have been trying to break through our defenses in the Kursk region. Our soldiers are holding the line and counterattacking," Zelenskyy wrote.
Additionally, during the meeting, the Main Intelligence Directorate and the Foreign Intelligence Service briefed Zelenskyy on who is helping Russia conduct its aggressive war against Ukraine militarily, economically, and politically, both openly and covertly. Measures Ukraine and its partners should take to weaken these alliances were also discussed.
"There was a report from the Ministry of Defense regarding contracts for the current and next periods, particularly with partner assistance and the investments of our key partners in the Ukrainian defense industry," the president emphasized.
Situation at the front and Russian losses
According to the General Staff, 107 combat clashes occurred at the front since the start of the day on October 14. The enemy is most actively attacking in the Kurakhiv direction.
It is also known that since the beginning of the full-scale war, the Russian Federation has lost more than 670,000 personnel.
