Russian troops are not preparing to stop, so Ukraine must continue to strengthen its military, including its air defense, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"The Russian army is not preparing to stop; they are preparing to continue fighting. And the only thing that really works to protect life is our strength, which means support and strengthening of Ukraine must continue," Zelenskyy says.
According to the head of state, strengthening air defense, stability support packages, and Russia's responsibility for what is being done are prerequisites for protecting lives.
"Security is essential for peace. I thank everyone who is acting this way and truly helping Ukraine," the Ukrainian President adds.
Is Russia preparing new offensive
Yesterday, February 10, Western media reported on Russia's possible preparations for offensive actions in southern Ukraine in the spring and summer. To implement these plans, the Kremlin intends to use strategic reserves, which have been forming since last year.
However, the Ukrainian side emphasizes that the enemy's plans have long been known, and the Ukrainian Defense Forces are taking measures to thwart them.
Russian troops have recently been actively transferring their elite airborne units to the Orikhiv direction, which may indicate significant enemy losses in this sector of the front.
According to the Ukrainian military, Russia has been accumulating personnel in forward positions for a long time to prepare for assaults in the direction of Orikhiv, one of the key directions where Russia plans to intensify its offensive in 2026.
