Zelenskyy comments on dispute with Trump and reveals reason

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on his tense conversation with US President Donald Trump on February 28 in the Oval Office. The head of state explained what provoked the dispute between the leaders.
As the president said in an interview with Fox News, the argument with Trump was triggered by the American leader’s remarks on "sensitive issues" that Ukraine would have been already destroyed, millions had died, and that the president was a "dictator."
When asked whether he regretted what happened in the White House, the president gave an affirmative answer: "Yes, it wasn’t good."
Zelenskyy also expressed a desire for "Trump to be more on our side."
This is how the Ukrainian President commented on the American leader's words that he was "in the middle" between Ukraine and Russia.
Furthermore, Zelenskyy was asked whether relations with Trump could be saved after the incident, to which he replied: "Yes, of course."
In the interview, the Ukrainian resident also responded to a question about whether the situation in the White House could have been preplanned. "I don’t know," he remarked.
Additionally, Zelenskyy expressed gratitude for the support of the US people, President Donald Trump, and Congress, reacting to the request from the White House for an apology for behavior during the negotiations in the Oval Office. According to him, some things need to be discussed without media.
Zelenskyy also stated that the decision to resign could only be made by the people of Ukraine. This was his response to Senator Lindsey Graham’s suggestion that he resign after the incident in the White House.
As reported earlier, on February 28, during negotiations between Zelenskyy and US President Donald Trump at the White House, a dispute arose between the leaders regarding the prospects of signing a peace agreement and ending the war in Ukraine.
Trump stated that Ukraine was unable to win the war, that the Ukrainian army was running out of soldiers, and that Kyiv should cease fire. The US President also wanted to end the war and threatened to reduce arms supplies to Ukraine.
Trump also insisted that Zelenskyy sign a peace agreement with Russia, or else the US would withdraw from the process. However, Zelenskyy responded by noting that it was very difficult, as Putin does not abide by the signed documents.
