Following his visit to the Zaporizhzhia region, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the convening of a new Headquarters meeting. The session will discuss the situation on the front and issues related to the defense of Zaporizhzhia, according to the president’s address.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that he spent the entire day in the Zaporizhzhia region, visiting several positions of combat brigades. In particular, he visited the positions of the 65th Separate Mechanized Brigade in the Orikhiv direction and the 128th Separate Guards Mechanized Brigade, which defends Stepnohirsk.

Following the visit, the president stated that there was a detailed discussion of what is needed on the Zaporizhzhia front, one of the most important directions.

"I am grateful for the comprehensive information about the difficulties here in the Zaporizhzhia region, especially in the Huliaipole area, as well as on the Kamianske direction. Tomorrow, I will convene a meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief specifically on this region, focusing on the defense of Zaporizhzhia and all the issues raised," he assured.

Zelenskyy added that he also discussed the situation in the Zaporizhzhia region in detail with the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, covering problems in the city and the region, including support for Zaporizhzhia — for both residents and enterprises.

"And defense against attacks, primarily protection in the region from Russian assaults. I have already set tasks for the military, and we will provide more resources for this direction," the president concluded.

On the morning of November 13, Zelenskyy arrived in the Zaporizhzhia region. He held a security meeting with the military command regarding the difficult situation on one of the fronts in the region.

Earlier reports indicated that Ukrainian forces were forced to withdraw from several positions in the Rivnopillia area, as well as near the settlements of Novouspenivske, Nove, Myslyvske, Uspenivka, and Novomykolaivka in the Zaporizhzhia region.
