Note that the Office of the President of Ukraine had not previously informed about the head of state's visit to Albania.

Adding that about a week ago, Euronews reported that Zelenskyy would visit Albania and participate in a summit in support of Ukraine on February 28. The relevant information was received by the publication from Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama.

Also, the Prime Minister of Albania stated on February 21 that Zelenskyy may soon meet with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. And this will take place within the framework of the summit of the countries of Southeast Europe.

Support for Ukraine from Albania

Albania is one of Ukraine's allies that supports our country in the face of Russian aggression.

As President Zelenskyy has previously noted, Tirana has not only expressed support at the UN Security Council but also provides comprehensive assistance. In particular, back in September 2023, Albania signed a declaration in support of Ukraine's NATO membership.
