Ukraine, the United States, and Russia will hold a trilateral meeting at the technical level for the first time. It will take place in the coming days in the Emirates, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

The head of the Ukrainian state reminded that today, January 22, a US delegation will travel to Moscow. US officials had been waiting for Zelenskyy’s meeting with US President Donald Trump before heading to negotiations with President Vladimir Putin.

"And they will go, and my team will meet the American team, and I think that it will be the first trilateral meeting in Emirates. It will be tomorrow and the day after tomorrow. Yes, it will be two days (of) meetings in Emirates," Zelenskyy said.

According to the president, he hopes the Emirates are aware of these plans, as the US side sometimes arranges "surprises." In any case, the negotiating teams will go there.

"I think this is good if on the technical level… The Russians have to be ready for compromises, because, you know, everybody has to be ready, not only Ukraine, and this is important for us," he noted.

The president suggested that US officials might meet with Putin in Moscow on the night of January 23 or tomorrow during the day.

"But tomorrow and the day after tomorrow, we will have a trilateral; our guys will have trilateral meetings. This is better than not to have any kind of dialogue at all. So we are under attacks. People live without electricity, we are in a difficult situation, but the Russians are also in a difficult situation, and we are answering on their attacks. God bless the war will stop, I hope so," Zelenskyy said.
