The Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak stated that the meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi lasted nearly three hours and took place in several formats.

According to Yermak, Zelenskyy welcomed Modi at the Mariinsky Palace.

"The meeting began with a one-on-one conversation. Then the ministers of foreign affairs, as well as the Prime Minister of India’s National Security Advisor and I, as the Head of the President's Office, joined the meeting. Overall, this meeting lasted for a record time—almost three hours," he noted.

Afterward, there was a broader format meeting, which included other ministers from Ukraine and India, as well as other members of the delegations.

The Head of the President's Office clarified that many topics were discussed during the negotiations. Primarily, they talked about Russia's war against Ukraine. All of Kyiv's key positions were communicated to the Indian Prime Minister.

Zelenskyy and Modi's meeting

It is worth noting that today, August 23, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Ukraine for the first time since its independence.

During the visit, the head of the Indian government met with the Indian diaspora and held talks with President Volodymyr Zelensky.

At a press conference with the Ukrainian head of state, the Indian Prime Minister stated that his country is ready to make an "active contribution" to end Russia's war against Ukraine.
