Zelenskyy and Fico meet in Ukraine's Uzhhorod - Media

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico have begun their meeting in Uzhhorod, according to Dennik N.
According to the outlet, media representatives are already waiting outside the building where the meeting between the President of Ukraine and the Prime Minister of Slovakia is taking place. Later, they will hold a joint press conference.
The Slovak delegation in Uzhhorod also includes Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Denisa Saková, as well as Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Juraj Blanár. At the same time, Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko arrived in Uzhhorod together with the head of the Ukrainian state.
Fico’s plans for the meeting
Yesterday, September 4, the Slovak government reported that Prime Minister Robert Fico planned to discuss energy infrastructure issues with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Fico himself also confirmed that he wanted to raise the issue of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ strikes on the Druzhba oil pipeline with the head of the Ukrainian state.
Notably, this week, Fico met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in China. After the hour-long conversation, the Slovak prime minister said he had prepared several conclusions and messages for Zelenskyy.
At the same time, yesterday, September 4, the President of Ukraine noted that the US President is very dissatisfied with Europe’s continued purchase of Russian oil. Apparently, this referred to Hungary and Slovakia.
