Zelenskyy: Adequate range for weapons provided to Ukraine must be response to Russian terror President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy (Vitalii Nosach, RBC-Ukraine)

Russia launches over a hundred guided bombs at Ukraine daily. Adequate range for the weapons provided to Ukraine needs to be the response to Russian terror, states Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Telegram.

The President commented on the recent night attack on Ukraine, during which Russia used nearly 40 Shahed drones. Zelenskyy noted that most of the drones were shot down by Ukrainian defenders.

The President emphasized that Russian aviation releases over a hundred guided bombs (KABs) daily against Ukrainian cities, villages, and front-line positions. Therefore, Ukraine needs reliable protection against Russian bombs.

"It is feasible if we destroy the bomb carriers — Russian military aviation — wherever it exists. Our adequate range must be a just response to Russian terror. And everyone who supports us in this supports protection from terror," said the President.

Weapon use restrictions

It is worth noting that amid Russia's offensive in the northern Kharkiv region, several partners have allowed Ukraine to use the provided weapons to strike Russian territory. However, allies have imposed restrictions.

Specifically, the United States has emphasized that Ukraine may use American weapons to strike Russian border areas to protect itself from further attacks. Germany has set similar conditions. According to media reports, Berlin has permitted strikes within 40 km of the border.

At the European Political Community summit, President Zelenskyy stated that airfields from which Russia attacks Ukraine must be destroyed. He called for lifting the restrictions on strikes against Russia.
