Zelenskyy discusses peace formula with UAE president

President Zelenskyy held a phone conversation with the President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, according to a post by the Ukrainian head of state on Telegram.
"He expressed gratitude for the support of Ukrainian sovereignty and territorial integrity and for facilitating the exchange of prisoners. The repatriation of individuals is a top priority for Ukraine, and we anticipate the continued active role of the Emirates," stated President Zelenskyy.
Zelenskyy also extended appreciation for the humanitarian aid received, specifically mentioning a recent shipment of over one and a half thousand generators. In the face of Russian aerial threats, such assistance is deemed critical, according to the Ukrainian President.
During the conversation, the leaders explored the potential for sustained financial support from the UAE, along with collaboration in implementing the peace formula. President Zelenskyy informed Sheikh Mohammed about the initiation of preparations for the Global Peace Summit and extended an invitation for the UAE to participate in the process.
Global peace summit
During his speech at the G20 summit in November 2022, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy proposed a peace formula to halt Russia's full-scale invasion.
On Monday, January 15, it became known that the Ukrainian and Swiss teams are commencing preparations for the organization of a global peace summit at the level of participating state leaders.
Currently, Switzerland has chosen Geneva as the venue for the planned global summit concerning the peace formula proposed by Ukraine.
