Zaporizhzhia under attack: Plant burns, residents face blackouts and water shortages

On the night of October 5, Russia carried out a combined attack on Zaporizhzhia. The city experienced power and water outages, and a fire was reported, according to the Telegram channel of Zaporizhzhia Regional Governor Ivan Fedorov.
“Combined attack on Zaporizhzhia. The enemy carried out at least 10 strikes using Shahed drones and guided bombs; some areas are experiencing power and water outages,” the message stated.
Fedorov later added that a fire broke out at one of the local enterprises as a result of the Russian attack, which is still ongoing.
So far, there is no information about casualties.
“As soon as the security situation allows, specialists will begin restoring electricity and water supply,” the regional governor added.
Attack on the Zaporizhzhia region and Ukraine
On the night of October 4, Russia attacked the Zaporizhzhia region with drones. The assault resulted in three people being injured, damage to homes, and destruction of infrastructure facilities.
Regarding tonight’s attack, Zaporizhzhia was not the only target. The enemy attempted to strike at least Kyiv and Odesa, and air defense activity was reported in several other cities as well.
The enemy carried out a combined attack across Ukraine this night. Drones were detected in many regions, and it has been officially confirmed that Russian Tu-95MS strategic bombers took off from Olenya airbase.
