Zaluzhnyi discusses Ukrainian counteroffensive with Slovak Army Chief
The Chief Commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, held a meeting with his Slovak counterpart, General Daniel Zmeko, who visited Ukraine this week.
Zaluzhnyi and the Chief of the General Staff of Slovakia held a meeting and did some work at one of the command posts.
"I briefed my colleague on the situation at the front, the progress of our defensive and offensive operations, and informed him about the enemy's actions," said the Chief Commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The commanders also discussed the Ukrainian army's requirements for arms, ammunition, and anti-aircraft defense systems. Zaluzhnyi emphasized the importance of training Ukrainian pilots on F-16 fighters.
"I thanked my Slovak counterpart for this visit and for Slovakia's support for Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression," he added.
Recently, the Ukrainian military leadership held negotiations with representatives from the United States regarding the situation on the frontlines and defense cooperation.
Present at this meeting were the Head of the Office of the President, Andriy Yermak, the Minister of Defense, Oleksii Reznikov, the Chief Commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, the Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Kyrylo Budanov, along with Ukrainian commanders and generals.
