Wendy Marshall, a tattoo salon owner from Florida, eats about two kilograms of raw meat every day. Ground beef, bloody steaks, cold cuts, and whole bone-in pieces – all are part of her daily diet, according to the New York Post.
Raw meat as a lifestyle
The 28-year-old woman became a featured participant in the new season of My Strange Addiction, openly showing her passion.
Marshall says her love for raw meat started in childhood, when she spent time with her grandmother. For her, it’s not just food, but an emotional connection and a habit she does not plan to give up entirely. She also acknowledges that society finds this behavior repulsive, but it doesn’t stop her.

Dangers of eating raw meat
Doctors warn that raw meat can contain harmful bacteria – including Salmonella, Listeria, Campylobacter, E. coli, as well as parasites.
During a medical examination, Marshall was found to have a chronic E. coli infection in her intestines. Despite the absence of symptoms, doctors warned that the bacteria could have become antibiotic-resistant, posing a serious risk if other illnesses arise.
Family reaction and woman’s decision
Her partner’s family has openly opposed this addiction. After consulting with a doctor, Marshall promised to change her approach. She has given up raw ground beef and plans to eat only meat from verified sources. At the same time, she does not intend to give up raw meat entirely.
It is worth noting that in some cultures, raw meat is a traditional dish, such as steak tartare or carpaccio.
However, doctors emphasize that daily consumption of large amounts of raw meat can pose serious health risks, even if no symptoms are present.
