The invitation from Head of the Ukrainian President's Office Andriy Yermak for US President Donald Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff to visit Kyiv remains valid, Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Heorhii Tykhyi said, according to Ukrinform.

Tykhyi was asked whether Witkoff would come to Kyiv after Yermak's invitation.

"The invitation remains in force," the MFA spokesperson briefly replied.

At the same time, he did not specify whether Witkoff had accepted the invitation.

The US President's special envoy has already visited Moscow several times and met there with Russian President Vladimir Putin. However, he has not come to Ukraine.

Yermak and Witkoff meeting

Last week, the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, visited New York and met with the US President's special envoy for the Middle East, Steve Witkoff.

According to Yermak, they discussed advancing real diplomacy to end Russia's war against Ukraine, as well as ensuring all agreements between Kyiv and Washington.

Also, after the meeting, the Head of the Office of the President assured that the United States is not forcing Ukraine to give up its territories to Russia.

At the same time, the Head of the Office of the President noted that he had invited Witkoff to visit Ukraine in the near future.
